Ok, so Saturday morning we got up reasonably early & cooked ourselves a Slimming World breakfast. (Everything classed as FREE food)

We then headed up to visit Mum for the day. On the way I kept thinking of my Dad because 18 years ago, we had travelled the same journey to be at his hospital bedside when he died. This time of course was a happier occasion to celebrate Mothers Day. We took Mum to her favourite restaurant & she really enjoyed her meal.

Pete & I found our choices a little difficult as everything was in a sauce but we managed by asking for the sauce to be served separately.
After spending the afternoon back at Mums' bungalow, we drove down to the theatre in Stafford as we had tickets to see Steeleye Span who are a folk band who have been going since the early 70's. We managed to find a Disabled parking space close to the theatre & sat & had the picnic we had prepared of a salad with chicken, a drink & an apple. Very nice.
It was quite late when we got home but as always, don't know why, we always feel like nibbling something. Luckily instead of reaching for a couple of packets of crisps each, we had our yogurt with fruit & oats we had prepared first thing in the morning. This enabled us to go to bed feeling comfortable & sated.
Sunday morning early, Pete got up & did a 40 mile cycle then we had our brunch of scrambled eggs with chopped up bacon, baked beans, mushrooms & Slimming World chips.

Doesn't look very exciting but it was very tasty & FREE!
We then spent the afternoon cooking meals to be frozen & also a gorgeous Cottage Pie (Slimmers World Recipe) which we had with loads of fresh vegetables when Pete's Mum & Dad came over for dinner.

All in all, when we went to bed last night we were very tired but both agreed that it had been a very successful weekend especially where our eating was concerned. We are definitely enjoying the Slimming World Healthy eating way.

Well done on such a lovely weekend.
You are really getting into the Slimming World swing of things. I always ask for sauces on the side as a matter of course or I find that my meal is drowned in the stuff and I'm not a huge fan of sauces.
Keep up the good work. Very envious of Pete's fitness. Sciatica has kept my mileage low for about 7 weeks now but the weather is warming up and my sciatica seems to be abating for the summer.
