DH & DD#1 came home with a 'prize' for me. I have a new walking friend! Fitbit Zip! She is AWESOME!!! She rides on my bra strap, counts steps and mileage correctly (as far as I can tell), reports calories burned and rewards me with a smiley face that gets increasingly happier the farther I walk! No nagging, just positive reinforcement!
I did not ask and do NOT want to know her cost! That would take some of the joy out of it for me.
They got tired of hearing me whine and complain about my $5 Walmart pedometer. Every day it was a new adventure in programming. I actually read and re-read and re-read the directions! And it STILL wasn't working 'right'
Inherently cheap at heart, I'd resigned myself to be content with it's 'directionally correct' (sometimes) info rather than exact numbers. Altho this provoked my perfectionist self, my frugal self ruled.
That is, until Zip joined our family.
So Little Blue is retired to the junk drawer and Zip Pink and I are joined at the shoulder!
Altho walking is better, my eating is NOT.....
Visited my big bro at his rehab place yesterday. He is cancer free - YAY!. Looks good for a chemo patient and is working on regaining his walking. He's lost ~100 lbs so far. Method definitely not recommended, but result is better for his health.
That visit stirred up alot of emotional junk for me and my over-eating reflects my attempts to stuff feelings. Scale is up, Steps are down, During the day, Nappy Time is never enough. At night, my brain is wide awake and VERY active going down Memory Lane!
Today I'm focusing on the Present. I will walk, drink water and Spark. Considering 5 day pouch reset.....
