friday--closed the deal

Friday, March 13, 2015

good morning! well, after a couple false starts I managed to connect with dan and we closed the deal on the tractor. rob is over the moon--spent all last night watching youtube videos of guys driving around on that tractor, doing maintenance on the tractor, modifying the tractor, welding toolboxes and chain saw mounts and all kinds of things to the tractor. each day we come up with one more "job" that looms this summer that will be made infinitely easier with the tractor. the big job that the new tractor necessitates will involve tearing down part of our old barn (which desperately needs either very expensive repair or demolition) and choosing and building a new, smaller outbuilding to house our equipment. we will keep the back half of the barn as it stands now, but it needs a new roof--we may just have it rubber coated. lots to think about. but for now, just enjoying the sunny days and trying to get ramped up for summer. I think I may see if Patrick wants to come help me weed for a couple weeks and some extra money. getting that under control would free me up to work on other things.
not sure what the weather is supposed to be like today. waiting to see if its the park or the treadmill. have a great Friday!

I hope your weather is good enough to go to the park. It sounds like next week will be a bit cooler but these days of 50s and 60s have been a gift. There's promise there.

I love how excited you two are about the tractor. When does it get delivered?
