Pushing It

Wednesday, March 11, 2015

One of our challenges this week on my BLC team Azure Destinations is to do one thing OUT of our healthy journey comfort zone. I have been doing "pretty well" for weeks now but have hit a plateau for the last 4 weeks. I think this challenge may be just what I need. Here is what I am going to do:

For this week, I am going to push everything as much as I can. No exceptions. I am going to work my hardest in water aerobics and yoga. I am going to ride my fastest when I do my stationary bike. I am going all out when I do my Azure (Stonecot's) TnT. No slacking! I am going to stick closely to my food plan for the week - no splurges, no unplanned snacks, no free day for this one week. My normal week would be doing well at everything, but relaxing too much in between. I am going to cut way back on my leisure time, and when I feel like relaxing I will do something productive. After all, there are a lot of things in my house that need attention.

I decided this prior to my morning water aerobics class, and I did push myself more. I made an extra effort. I'm usually one of the more active, but I just bumped it up as much as I could. My teacher noticed. She came up to me after class and told me great job and that she saw me working even harder than usual. emoticon My husband was in the jacuzzi watching our class and also commented on how fast I was moving and how high I was jumping. emoticon It made it even more fun than usual.

This afternoon I am going to spend a few hours working on things around the house. I plan to do this every day this week, so by the end of the week my house will be super clean, our yard will be picked up, and my paperwork, tax return, and filing will be done. I plan to have everything in good order, which will help me feel more productive and confident than I have been feeling lately. My motto for the week:

I'd love to have a buddy (or buddies) who might want to work on the same thing this week. emoticon

Great job! Just push yourself a little more. Mix it up! Remember to track that house cleaning.

emoticon Well Susan we are on the same track, today instead of plopping down in front of the computer or the TV, I kept myself busy, I started my Spring Cleaning, that should keep me occupied for a bit.
I can't push too much harder on exercise, as I find it hard doing what I do, but today I added a little more to my morning exercises, and an extra bit on my walk, so every little bit helps!
emoticon on pushing extra hard today, we can make changes that should help |unloading| a few more lbs!
