Lab results

Wednesday, March 11, 2015

The good news is that my rheumatoid arthritis test came back negative. My doc and I had it done just to rule it out, but I was a little worried. There are auto-immune disorders in my family history.

My HDL is up, so that is good too, although I am looking at lab work from two different sites.

My LDL is also up. I'm not sure why. I've been eating better and exercising, so I had expected it to go down. According to my father, there is no history of cholesterol issues on his side of the family. I can't remember if I asked my aunt, I think I did and there wasn't anything on that side either.

It does give me extra motivation to get moving and make healthy food choices. I have my nutrition tracker set to show my cholesterol too. I've been slacking in tracking, so just need to get back on board.

Good news on the RA test! Always good to know where you stand on the lab tests and have things in black and white to get you motivated!
