I do ceramics
I have just been working some months to get finished for an exhibition
Some days I have been sitting decorating and drawing the most of the day..
In stead of taking a nap when I got tired
I ran a tour in the area near by
Sometimes I have to knead the clay..
This is hard and I get sweaty - There are machines for doing this, but so far I do it by hand to get the exercise and to keep in touch with this handcraft..
Hmm - My right hand does ache when I knead the clay. Even though I do my best to keep it stiff..
When I have to knead big portions of clay I do the first kneading standing with my feet and then part it in smaller amounts of clay.
As my work both involves sitting still and lifting heavy pieces of clay - I try to strengthen my stomach muscles and back muscles. Many ceramist get serious back problems..
I also have joined a rowing club to keep strong. There are nice people so I really enjoy it. My work for the exhibit has meant I couldn´t be so active in the club. I get sms asking when I am coming again
