I want to post this for all of you who commented on my original blog about this and those who left me comments on my SP or sent me Goodies or SP emails about this. Thank you all so much for your concern and kindness. One of the very best things about being here on SP is all the incredible support given on any subject we ask about that matters to us.

There have been 5 teen suicides in this school in the past 18 months. All of them before my granddaughter's personal experience with bullying, except for the last one which happened shortly after I posted the first blog.

My DIL told me there has been no more bullying problem after the last funeral. That is a sad sentence, it seems to me after I wrote it. After the last funeral. Cessation of bullying, though, is the good part of that sentence.

Perhaps the police involvement with the student and her parent helped. Perhaps it was a combination of many things we will never know about.

My son has been eagerly awaiting a transfer to another state, completely unrelated to this incident, and it has come through. They will be moving this summer when school is out and building their "forever" home there. He'll retire in 4 yrs.

Megan is excited about the move, although she'll be leaving many friends. They are returning to an area where they lived when she was a child and she still has many friends there. She is already planning her new room decor, colors, wall hangings, etc. and her dad is going to build her the headboard she wants.

So for my family there is a happy ending. I know we all pray the students left behind will find their own happy future as they progress through that school.

It saddens me to think about all of those suicides before the school and police do something about it. I'm very relieved for your family. It sounds like this move will be very beneficial for them.

This is certainly a WELCOME ending and an answer to prayer! Unfortunately, some are not blessed with such an ending. But I am thankful for your and possibly some others! I do hope the offender has gotten some kind of help for her own issues...because she DOES have them!
