Looking back on February

Monday, March 02, 2015

It was a busy month for me. Doctor appointments for my daughter, still waiting on her EEG results, but I have a good feeling about it. Her episodes haven't really changed at all. She gets really bad when she gets excited, but that is not new for us. I hope to hear something soon. My grandmother has had some episodes with dizziness and her hernia. Supporting my mom has been the best help I can give. Mom has the task of taking her to all of her appointments and was right there with her when she went to the ER. I find helping Mom out with stuff at home is a blessing for her.

Lots of snow and cold days. I had fun sledding with my family. It reminds me of the fun days with my dad and brother as a kid. Flying down a hill makes me feel like I am 10 again.

I made my minutes goal and actually lost 5 pounds over the month. I feel good about that. I have a tiny journal that I keep in my purse so no matter where I am I can write down what I eat and what I weigh every week. I also write in my activity for the day, it really did help me out. I have done it before, but not made it a habit. Keeping it in my purse was a big help and it is a bright color so it can't get lost in there. emoticon

I am happy with my progress from last month and looking ahead for this month. I made a pact with my brother that we would lose 20 pounds before we went to the beach in May. The countdown begins!!!!!!

Being mindful of the choices we are making every day helps so much in making the ones that lead us to our goals. Just a simple little thing like carrying the journal does that. Keep taking care of yourself!
