You Can't PR Every Time!

I did my one rep max for the snatch yesterday. I PR'd my snatch (90#) and my power snatch (95#). The snatch was a big deal for me, because when I started I wasn't catching the bar in a squat and now I can.

Anyways, the WOD last night consisted of a one rep max for the split jerk. My previous PR for this was 125#. Last night I was only able to do 115#. I was really bothered by this. I had to reflect about what was going on with me. The one thing I noticed is the week before my period...I'm weaker for some reason. I noticed this doing Wendler. I think this might of been a factor. Also, some days just aren't good days for some moves. You can't PR every time!

On a happy note, I was talking with someone and they told me I'm hardcore. Followed up by someone telling me I am strong. It helped with the split jerk failure, but still I just don't see myself this way.

I need to go shopping. My tights are getting loose and my work pants are all baggy. I'm going to take a friend with me to go thrift store shopping, because I suck at finding clothes that flatter my body.

I hope everyone is working hard and enjoying the awesome things their bodies can do! Remember, we are not defined by a number on the scale!

    awesome job on the PRs!! And yes you are so right - we can't pr on everything every time. Sometimes we are on it with some movements and not other times.
