Today's Thoughts

I can't guarantee I'm going to do this everyday, but I realized that if I actually noted my thoughts about losing weight and the choices I make, and the things I do, I may recognize the patterns better than if I just try to keep them in my head. It won't be very organized, either, especially at first, because I'll be sort of catching up at the beginning. Nothing to see here, really.

Breakfast: Peanut butter and banana sandwiches keep me full until lunchtime. One egg thingie from the muffin tin and one slice of buttered toast don't, but two and two do. Two and one do, too.

Lunch: I get hungry really fast again after eating pasta.

I should make ST a habit. Back when I was quite the dish, I had a routine that was basically three arm exercises, 4 abs exercises, 3 shoulders...It worked back then, it will work now. I need to pick out a few. I can switch some out every now and again.

Today I did almost 70 minutes on the recumbent bike. That's pretty good. But I still won't get my Glow Getter award today.

I lost my appetite today. I wish I could do that more often. =)

    I completely agree with you about exercise. That is a very healthy way to lose your appetite, and I love it when it works for me, which has not been often enough recently because I've been exercising so infrequently. But you sound motivated, and I'm wishing you lots of luck with this idea of writing things down. I have no doubt that it helps and that you'll meet with success. I need to join you!

    .....then, talking about food....
    Are your familiar with Muesli? It's really a Swiss concoction. I use either Kefir or Yogurt, with some milk or 30 cal.-Almond Milk, add Old Fashion Oatmeal and let it soak overnight. The next morning, I add some raisins or halved grapes, a grated apple, mandarin oranges (cut up), any berries you might have on hand, and/or sliced banana pieces. Mix it all together, add more milk if necessary. I then top it with some roasted sliced almond (TraderJoe's) or any other chopped nuts. If the fruit doesn't make the Muesli sweet enough to your taste, you can add a bit of honey, or Maple ~ or Agave syrup, or brown sugar. Just a touch of it.
    My son just mentioned to me that one of his co-workers, makes a batch of Muesli, big enough for three breakfasts, that she places in screw-top glasses and takes them to work.
    This is so healthy and low in calories and I never get hungry before 2:00 PM.
    I have made it this week, because we are playing in golf tournaments and with a snack in the afternoon, I am good until dinner. Try it.

    Check out some of he exercise videos on SP. They come in different length, so, they will always fit into your schedule. You can use one, two or three, for whatever time you have. Some will give you a great workout. I came across a group (that is trying to sell their DVD, of course) but were shown here on SP. Wow, did I feel my stomach muscles the next day! Give it a try.
