I’ve had a bad Spark month – 4 pounds regained which made me cross with myself after all the hard work I put in to reach the top of my healthy BMI. I’ve re-lost three of those pounds thanks partly to several very energetic days with my grandchildren – running around a lot and no opportunity to do more than basic eating. I would like to think I’ve learned a lesson there. I’ve always known that I should push more movement into my life on a regular basis but if there is nothing pressing to do I tend to spend time reading or doing crosswords – especially in the dull winter months.
Right now I’m suffering rather with some very painful and debilitating symptoms arising – as they do intermittently - from my hiatus hernia. However – I’ve started the meds, which help fairly quickly, AND the sun is shining today so I’m resolved to get out and about and try to start making a lifestyle change that is much needed. I've even borrowed a dog as a 'grandchild replacement'!
I hope you are feeling better now. Sorry I missed this blog. Don't be upset about weight gain like that, as long as you did what you did...keep active and get back on track soon. I am not sure if you are on maintenance yet, but they say you are doing good if you stay within 5 pounds of your goal weight. It takes diligence of counting calories to keep it there too. That would be nice to borrow a dog for a bit. I miss my dogs. I am allergic to dogs...but it would be fun to have one for a day! Or off and on to walk with me! Better than doing it alone. 1348 days ago
