Marathon #8 done

I've started 11, completed 8 marathons (2 became HMs due to injury or sick on route, 1 DNF due to heat exhaustion), and completed well over 20 HMs.

This last marathon was as tough as I expected, with temps in the 50's and 92% humidity. Even the Elites were having a tough time (have you heard about the Elite African runner who literally crawled to the finish line?). It took just a bit longer than planned - I did take a short bio break, then helped keep some struggling runners and walkers going between miles 16-23.

Nonetheless, it's done, I have a huge heavy metal bling, and a nasty blister on my toe. But, it's done.

Next year is the 25th anniversary. I know I'll be there, just don't know for which distance, yet.
