So Frustrated!!

And my weight is up again. Again, I'm losing and gaining the same 2 lbs.

I have some good non-scale victories. My clothes are fitting better. I'm feeling better. I'm getting back into yoga. I purchased a heart rate monitor and have been paying more attention to getting in more cardio. But I really feel like I am letting my team, and myself, down.

But, and there is always a but, I had some painful days with my back this week. I know I console myself with chocolate. I need to find something else to turn to. and when I do slip up, I have to record it accurately. That way I can know how much over I am and not be so surprised by the weight gain. although I didn't expect 2 lbs.

I have my yearly MD appt. on Monday and plan on discussing pain control. I have found a good balance for the nerve pain, but need to find something better for the inflammation and spasms.

    I understand - I'm hoping some of mine is water weight, but I gained 5 pounds this week...and I know that chocolate probably contributed to that! Can you think of something non-food related that would console you, maybe a hot bubble bath or a home facial? Or maybe you can find a really delicious herbal tea and drink that when your cravings hit?

    Do you have your goals where you can see them everyday? Do you have before and after pictures?? I made some post it notes that I have around my computer. A smiley face for when I'm happy, a Sad face for when I'm sad. I have another that says "make your workouts fun" . Perhaps all you need to do is to stop worrying about how much you gained or loss and concentrate on your nutrition. (Nutrition is a full time job for me!)..:)

    Do not fret the scales. I too am having a problem with gaining and losing. I gained 4 pounds between Saturday (my weigh in day) and Tuesday, but was down today 1.2 pounds today! My measurements are getting smaller and I do like that. I am not having the horrible knee pain I was having, but it is still painful. Thank God for Celebrex.
    Keep the faith. Put yourself in His hands. You can do this. We can do this together! Just don't give up. Sometimes it takes the body a bit of time to adjust to all the good foods we are feeding it! Be patient. The weight didn't come on over night and it sure won't come off over night!     I hear you. It's not been the best week. Hope your doctor is able to help you find some relief. It is not easy to live with pain.
    Way to go on the positive things that are happening: clothes fitting better, feeling better, and doing yoga.
