Celebrating a Major Accomplishment.

In my quest to lose weight and become a better cyclist and working hard on consistency with exercising and nutrition. Unfortunately I am struggling more with the nutrition than I am with the exercise portion of the package. I believe it truly takes them both; thus the package.
So what’s the major accomplishment? In my 16-week beginners Century program; the schedule was to ride 45 miles for my endurance ride. I wasn’t too skeptical about it because I’ve actually ridden 51 miles once before. No doubt there are a few differences as the 51 miler was on the road and today’s ride was on the same bike while connected to the trainer; but I’m still doing the work.
The end results of my endeavor is where the celebration begins: I completed my ride with a total of 67 miles. It took me 3 hours and 45 minutes which I did non-stop. Yes, 3 hours and 45 minutes of continuous pedaling on a trainer; no coasting (on a trainer) no bathroom breaks, just hard work. I have to give a special thanks to my daughter for re-filling my water bottle several times so I didn't have to stop.
So next week’s endurance ride is 50 miles and my intentions are to stick with that plan. If I keep this pace and get my nutrition in order, I’ll be riding 100 miles at a lower weight in no time.
Included is a snapshot of the Zwift program at the end of my ride.
