A part of my journey to a healthier me, I have been tracking my food. Not just for calories and fat, but also to make sure I get enough protein and fiber in a day.
Did you know you should be consuming between 10%-35% of your daily calories in protein? That means a person like me, who eats around 1500 calories a day, should be consuming a minimum of 38 protein grams a day. In addition, a female under the age of 50 should consume a minimum of 25 grams of fiber per day.
Now, I usually manage to get enough protein in a day, but I don't think I've ever hit that elusive 25 gram mark. For that reason, I am always on the lookout for high protein and high fiber options that are still tasty.
