Since I started this Journey...
Wow.... A lot of things happened... I wouldn't believe in a million years that I could be able to accomplish all these goals last year. I can say now, that our worse enemy is ...ourselves!!! It amazes me when I see and hear all kind of excuses that people would say to avoid the commitment. (I know that because I've done it). I'm not criticizing other people's behavior, but... seriously, If you are not disabled, really chronically sick, or with another limitation, Quit making lame excuses!!! and take your a#@#$ out of that couch and go to walk, jog, or something, but, for the love of God! Stay Active!!! It's sad to watch all these young people wasting those great opportunities to lose weight, get back in shape, etc. I'm a 48 year old guy, and I bet you that not a lot of old guys like me are in shape.
I'm not gonna start a rant about people that are not fit or something like that, but I do realize the big impact that this monumental change in my lifestyle has had over me. Not considering myself a "fitness guru"or anything even close, I learned to watch what I eat, What exercises to do, create my own and personal work out routine with some changes, and Hell! I even enrolled again for my gym's Biggest Loser competition this year again.
I'm still 30 lbs out of my original goal, Kinda plateau over the last 4 months and I've been indulging myself from time to time with any other goodie. But after that, I always kick my ass at the gym.
I found peace. Peace in my personal life, work, emotions; a great sense of fulfilment and the most important thing... A purpose... My purpose is to help my community through my volunteer work with the FD. That is a 24/7 watch, and I feel so honored to be part of that.
At this point, I just want to keep going, for as long as I can and as strong as I can handle.
My trainer's motto is: "Good isn't enough is better is possible" I think I'm gonna steal it from her! emoticon
Anyway... Last but not least, I want to publicly recognize the HUGE support from my DEAR Sparkfriends!!!! You!!!! Yes! You! the one is reading this post right now!!! Yeah!!! You know I appreciate the time you take to read my post, I hope I made you laugh about my nonsense stories, I truly appreciate your comments, your enthusiasm about my feeds, I don't want to name one person in particular because are so many of you and I LOVE all of you, but I have to name the TWO most important friends that have helped me to cope with difficult times and they are always been there for me:
Barb... Your messages are SOOOO nice and I'm always looking forward for the next one, I feel blessed for being a receiver of your messages and your encouragement has been a HUGE part of my success. For that... THANKS!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
And last but not least...
Michelle A.K.A: STEELKICKIN, You came out of nowhere with you beautiful and positive mindset, with your nice comments, bringing a very interesting and fresh view point, and I wanted to let you know how much I love to read your posts and How proud am I for having you as a friend!

I love your words, your pictures, your positive attitude! Ya knoooow, I think it's the other way around when it comes to being there in difficult times. Who was grumpy the other day and WHO left one of the sweetest comments?? I had an attitude and you made me smile. :) You have always made me smile. Your accomplishments, your friendship, your smiling face, have always given me strength to go the extra distance. You're an inspiration!

I love how you said my viewpoints are fresh and interesting. Lol, most people just say I'm "weird." But I am very glad that you are there, supporting me and urging me forward. The people you meet along your journey are a big influence on which way you go. That's why I only surround myself with people like you. :) And some people go the extra distance to make you feel comfortable in your own skin and that IS you.

Thank you, Frank. So many congratulations on your accomplishments. I consider myself honored and privileged to be in your circle. Much love and many many hugs!

    Have a great weekend!
