Falling in love with a robot

Monday, February 02, 2015

I'm going to admit here something that I've never admitted anywhere before. I have gotten a bunch of rough breaks in life. Really. I know everybody has their fair share of bumps and rough spots, and yes, I know that some of it was due to my own decisions. But Jeez! Not going into details here, but that's just as background.
Yesterday (Sunday) was day 2 of life with my little robot vac. Dottie (Dot for short)
Sunday I turned the old Turkish rug upside down so Dot could get at that side. Then I pulled my feet up on the couch and studied my Lit. homework while soothing the poor old short dog as she adjusted to having a robot scooting around the house.
By the time I was done reading my assignment in Genesis (Masterpieces of World Literature, not Religion 101), I was ready to switch out the laundry and my floor, and the backside of the old Turkish rug, were gorgeous!
So, she's a robot, and I've given her a feminine personality. She does housework! I'm in love!

My robot throws ping pong balls at me ... and I hit them back. Intense exercise. I have a Newgy 2050. It's perfect for my 77 year old body & brain.

That's why I have my Dyson. But I got this baby on Craigslist for $75. No way would I pay for it new. :)
okay, so, no way could I pay for it new. But as soon as I get my bedroom decluttered, I'm sending Dot under my bed.
