New job and 30lbs down!

Sunday, February 01, 2015

Since last August when I had my tubal I've lost 30 lbs! To anyone who tries to say health and medication don't mean much in regards to weight, I say "suck it". Since dropping my psych meds I've stopped gaining weight, since stopping birth control I've lost the 30 lbs with just healthy eating and light exercise. It's awesome.

I've decided now that I've made some of the food changes I wanted to make, it's time to up the exercise. Man do I hurt, lol. We have a large basement that we can't do much with because if it rains, the basement floods. So, lots of wide open concrete. I've put a rug down and am doing my exercise down there. I love the burn of exercise.

I'm enjoying my new job. I've made it 2 weeks and no absences or being late! Only having to work 5 hours a day M-F really works for me, I can just tell myself it's only 5 hours and that's enough motivation to get me there. I also like my coworkers, which is awesome. Only 9 days until my birthday! I know I won't be doing much, but still excited.

IMOFF, I agree with you. Back in the day when I was on the pill, I gained weight from it and lost after I went off of it. I am on psych meds that I need to be on at least for now but have repeatedly requested NONE that cause weight gain. I finally have a psychiatrist that agrees with me on this. An endocrinologist tried to put me on a med for diabetes that causes weight gain. Again I said no. I was on insulin but the diet and exercise changes I have made here have resulted in no insulin in weeks! So glad I am not on that stupid med she tried to put me on. Anyway, great work!!!
