And we begin again

Once again I am back to square one---actually maybe square negative 10 as this reboot begins from a place where I am not only starting over but now have medical issues. I have been diagnosed with an under active thyroid. More impactful is the knee injury I experienced November 13, 2014 which has had me non-weight bearing and on crutches off and on for over 2 months. I now wear a hinged brace on that knee and have been cleared to begin some light activities---walking, elliptical, stationery bike, and water activities such as water aerobics are all approved. Unfortunately the gym that I belong to does not have a pool.

I am however now equipped with more tools to help as I take on my "me" project. Fitbit is a super easy way to track activity. Organize yourself skinny is a blog/website offering great suggestions (along with trusty super site SparkPeople).

So many reasons to want to drop some pounds and improve my health---our 35th wedding anniversary, a cruise this summer, possible class reunions this year and next, and not liking the person I see in the mirror. Those are in Addition to getting healthy for my family and needing more energy for life in general.

I am going to force myself to not think about how overwhelming it is and focus on baby steps and just making it happen.
