4th Check-in of the Year:

62 days, my walking streak continues.., at least 30 minutes every day.

This is my 6th week following ChaLEAN's Extreme Workout dvd's and I moved in the 2nd week of the Push Circuit workouts. The Monday and Wednesday cycling and strength training classes I teach both filled to capacity with extras coming back into the room for just the strength training even though they did not arrive in time to get one of the 12 bikes.

19 people to last Saturday's yoga class (24th) and I taught a private one-on-one yoga session here in my home late Saturday afternoon. 16 people came to my yoga class on Tuesday evening (27th) I stayed after teaching and walked on a treadmill for 35 minutes to get a last chance workout in before Wednesday mornings weigh-in. On Thursday evening (the 29th), I experienced laryngitis and lost my voice, I had to cancel my earlier 5:10pm restorative yoga class on campus and was able to arrange for a substitute to teach my later 6:30pm yoga class downtown. 14 people came to my yoga class this morning and I am thankful that my voice was strong enough and recovered to teach through the whole 75 minute class.

In the second weigh-in on Wednesday (the 28th) for the BLC27 challenge, I lost 3.1 pounds from the week before.

I am thrilled with my weight loss in the month of January:

January 02nd, 2015 - 197.1
January 07th, 2015 - 196.0
January 14th, 2015 - 193.8
January 21st, 2015 - 191.3
January 28th, 2015 - 188.2 and this morning's weigh-in on
January 31st, 2015 - 188.4 which gives me a total of 8.7 pounds lost in this month.

I have worked very hard to gather key elements that worked successfully for me before and being accountable on Spark teams' challenges is one of those key elements. Other key elements included walking every day, strength training hard, not allowing myself to eat foods high in sugar and following a food plan that worked for me before (the best life plan). Phone conversations on Sunday mornings with INDYGIRL (Beth) have helped me stay focused as well. Thank you, IUSBDEB, HILLRUNNER, JANICEMC, INDYGIRL and BOHEMIANCAT for helping me this month. Thank you, CINDHOLM, for cheering for me and encouraging me in your Spark comments on my blogs and status.

This week's non-scale victories included:

Tuesday - I did not eat any Girl Scout cookies from the counter in my office.

Wednesday - I did not eat any chocolate chip cookies at work.

Thursday & Friday - Even though I had laryngitis, I pushed myself and strength trained and used Leslie Sansone's WATP walking dvd to get my walks in here at home.
