Further update - Small Changes Challenge Days 20-25

Second phase of catching up on the days of the challenge that I’ve missed blogging about. SUCH a very worthwhile exercise – both the activities and the blogging.
Day 20 – ‘Go for 100.’ Activities to burn up 100 extra calories as the day goes by - every little helps. A good reminder for me – I’m definitely too good at doing an ST or cardio workout and then flopping on the nearest sofa. I need to change that and this is a way to start. Today I chose 23 minutes cycling from the list in the accompanying article and hope to do more from the same list on other days.
Day 21 – Declutter your life. A disorganized life doesn't support healthy-living goals. This went to my heart! Challenge for Day 21 was to clean and organize one area in my immediate surroundings. I was doing that very thing when it appeared on the challenge but then, as it happened, I completely messed up the beginning of this week by ‘last minute catching-up’ with things that really mattered and that had become urgent. This is my greatest failing and was compounded by my having mislaid various documents sorely needed. SO - I’m doing that very thing over the next few weeks - admin side of my life is going to be in apple pie order!
Day 22 – Instant motivator – choose a music track from the list in the accompanying article to boost my workout. Many great pieces of music – altho I don’t normally listen to music when I’m doing a workout or taking a walk but I picked some titles and will go on to choose some of my own to see how it goes.
Day 23 – Stop late night snacking. The challenge is to do something active after dinner. Go for a walk, dance to some music, clean house or do a short workout. I totally know that this small change will get me that much closer to my goals. Got to be done and needs to become a new and regular habit.
Day 25 – Foods with major filling power – eat more fibre and alongside that the advice is to drink more water. I pretty much do that already and know how worthwhile it is – so again – not difficult to carry out.
So it's going well and I'm finding it a salutory reminder to stick with the programme!
