rewards & other thoughts

Thanks for the ideas on rewards. I use many of the suggestions made on my last blog for milestone rewards.

My dilemma is immediate rewards, what can I do immediately that celebrates the loss. shouting hooray is not satisfying. Eating foods I haven't eaten for a week is. Having chips instead of carrots is satisfying.

I have some milestone rewards: CDs, a crochet kit to learn how to crochet because I want to create some button art.

been on the down edge the last few days after gaining weight I had just lost. thought about abandoning spark but if I quit, I might give up and then I would probably just get fatter again...

work is stressful ,change change and change..

got a new cell phone at work i5s - never had one so interested to see how it works

so much change and so much the same

back on spark and going to change my goals again. I need to track what I eat every day but I just have to write it down, calorie tracking doesn't give me encouragement nor a reason to not eating to celebrate. I will eat when I am hungry and try to eat more healthy.

I will set a movement goal with reasonable increases every two weeks.

I will not be jealous of the success of others when I cannot achieve the same. I will be happy for them and set better sights on my goals.

I need to lose weight. Why? to breathe easier, for my clothes to fit, for my watch to fit better, to be happy - nope not a requirement, to be able to walk up stairs for more than 1 flight, to live longer, to continue being able to play with all the little ones in my life on the floor where they play....

are these reasons good enough - maybe, maybe not....

ah well, jump back in and forge forward, answers have to be around here somewhere. Perhaps behind that tree over there...

    Not sure how restricted you are with what apps you can download on your new work phone but there are many out there (including the Sparkpeople app) that can help with your tracking. I use MyFitnessPal to track my food intake (it's so easy to use) and I have other apps that I use for fitness (including my UP app that is connected to my UP24 band). Let me know if you need any help with them if you decide to use any of them. :)
