Coming Back

Monday, January 26, 2015

It has been a little over a year since I have really blogged about life, exercise, etc. In that time I have buried my dads' dog, as well as my mother and father-in-law. It has been one heck of a roller coaster ride and I am starting to get my life back together.

I rode a bike professionally last year and it was a blast. I actually got a new bike and it is a dream boat. It is a Project 1 Trek, blue, silver and white and it can fly! I also got the opportunity to drive to Florida to Disney World and spend a week with my daughter that had an internship there. WOW is all I can say!

I returned home and went to San Diego with my best friend Tonya and we rode mountain bikes and played in the ocean. We went whale watching (saw a whale actually), and we went kayaking and saw a sea lion, some seals and some awesome wrecks as the surf was incredible high and assured that each and every kayaker wrecked on the way to shore.

Then, I went to help my daughter move at college and moved just right and tore up my knee again. emoticon I had to return to my surgeon in Scottsdale, Arizona. He fixed me up again and I am in the process of recovering. Not totally there yet but I am getting much better. In fact, I rode at the gym this morning and managed 35 miles in 75 minutes......did a little sweating along the way. Hopefully the weather will get a little warmer and my body will decide it is okay to venture outside to start really riding again.

So glad to see you back! I missed your blogs. I'm not in that area any more and moved to north Texas after a stroke a little over a year ago. Some deficits but still getting around. Won't give up LOL. You've had such a busy year! I'm so sorry about the people and the dog you had to bury. So happy for the great things that happened too! Glad you are able to get your workouts in and your knee could be patched up.
