Tracking and Measuring, Pt. 2 (or Today's NSV)

My grocery list doesn't change much from week to week. I keep a running tally throughout the week on a dry erase board that's on my refrigerator and then on Saturday or Sunday, I stock up for the upcoming week. I've noticed something over the last two weeks: even by the end of the week, the list has been pretty short. What's changed?
Apparently, measuring all my food is paying off in more than one way! This shouldn't come as any surprise to me since I've certainly seen this tip many times (and is probably old news to a lot of people) but there's nothing better than first-hand experience to make the lesson stick. My groceries are lasting longer because I'm measuring them all!! At a time when food prices have really gone up, I've managed to keep things under control.
Tracking and Measuring: an investment that's paying off in more than one way!!
