Great Day

Saturday, January 24, 2015

My laptop still is not fixed and won't connect to the internet. emoticon At least tech support finally admitted something was wrong with it (other than me), and is looking into how it can be fixed, or replaced. emoticon No telling how long that is going to take. emoticon So, today, I took precautions, and invested in a new external storage device emoticon (my old one is shot) so that if he takes my laptop to "work on", I won't lose everything on it. It has been backing up for 2 hours, and is still only 1/2 way done. Luckily, my son lets me borrow his, for short periods of time, so I can at least get the bare bones of sparking done.

We had a fabulous day today. emoticon First, they let me sleep in, so I feel caught up on my rest. I went to bed fairly early last night and slept for almost 11 hours. emoticon Then we got groceries emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon and went out to eat at Red Lobster. emoticon emoticon I got the Admiral's feast which was most yummy, and I don't feel one bit guilty about it. emoticon I don't eat it all, because my son's meal never fills him up. If I order large, he eats the rest of mine instead of just gorging on the biscuits. emoticon It's how I taught him to like seafood in the first place, cause my hubby won't even taste anything that's been in the water. Afterwards, we left him at Nanny's and went shopping for my above mentioned storage device.

They had a great time visiting and playing Scrabble, which was great for both of them. I love that they have such a close relationship. emoticon My grandparents thought that children should be rarely seen, and heard even less. emoticon When we visited them, we were to say hello, emoticon and then disappear so that the grown-ups could talk until it was time to leave, then say a polite goodbye. emoticon Unfortunately, that meant we never really got to know them. emoticon Sad. I thought all grandparents were that way until I got married and met my hubby's grandma. She was a hoot, and always up to a game of whatever the kids wanted to play. I was shocked and amazed. I knew that was most definitely the kind of grandma I want to be, but not for quite a few years yet! emoticon

I am looking forward to an amazingly fantastic day again tomorrow! emoticon
