Derailments are not the end of the line

Sunday, January 18, 2015

The last 7 days or so have not been friendly to my goals of health. I have already lost my streak of purposed miles, water intake, and so many things....but it is a derailment NOT the end of the line.

I have 50 million reasons as to why it happened. It was my husband, who works out of state 75% of the month, was home and I am less likely to get my routine in when he is home as it is about the time with him not my things. It was my job, where I sit at a computer, with extended hours (12 plus). It was my kids, ages 4-18, not cooperating. It was, it was, it was, it was. But even with all the "it was"I still logged into Spark People every day. I still spun the wheel. I still tried to log a few things. It was a derailment .... not the end of the line.

Today, I reset the streaks that were broken. Today, I started drinking my water again. Today, I started taking my steps. Today, I am still planning to get my 1 purposed mile in. Today, I am setting the train cars back on the track and have fired the engine back up. Today, I am, once again, the little engine that I could.

The moto - I know I can, I know I can, I know I can....

Getting back on track is always better then staying off the course. Good for you.
