photo of ayman´s arm

Sunday, January 18, 2015

lotfi and ayman arrived back late last night(that´s for another blog)spent half the day in er.managed to take a photo when they changed the dressing and concidering it is 13 days ago i think it still looks bad though the dr says it is healing up nicely but will take along time to heal.he was very lucky as it only nipped the nerve a bit deeper and the nerve would have been severad and he would have lost use of arm and hand so god be praised(alhamdullah)for small mercies.here is the photo

i think i am still in abit of shock and now i have seen it i am feeling even more guilty for not being there for him.
thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.take care and keep smiling.

Bless you both. It is hard to see our children hurting. I am so grateful he will have use of his arm. That is a huge plus. Love, chris

So thankful that the nerve wasn't severed and that our nurses say it looks good. Continued healing prayers headed his way.

Huge hugs to both you and Ayman! So thankf ul that it is healing well and was not more serious. Please be gentle with yourself. You are a fabulous mother and he was with his father and family, not in some stranger's care and now he is home to have his mother's love to help him heal.

Gosh Karen, seeing it the first time would have been real hard for you, but I am delighted to know he is home safe and healing well. A long road ahead but as you say a blessing it will not have permanent damage. I love the fact our online nurses here at SP have been able to add some reassurance for you. I was going to say it looked clean but and then I saw their comments and it made me wonder where that thought had even come from but I guess its just years of motherhood xx

I agree with the other nurses, the wound is clean and healing - it will take time. I hope the dressing changes are not too painful for him. You are a great mother and a wonderful nurse - he is lucky to have you! emoticon

My goodness! You didn't cause it, but I AM very glad he's home with you now. Such an awful thing for him to endure, and you to handle as a Mom!

    Sending healing vibes.

Thank God he will be okay. That looks so bad and I'm sure you were shocked. You should not feel guilty that you were not there....he was with his father and that was important. Now he is home for mom's special care.

Please give him a big hug for me. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Karen love, never put yourself down .. You are a wonderful mother and accidents happen ... He was with Lotfi and his family ... You can't be in two places at once ...
So lucky nerve was not severed .. It's looking good actually .. Now all you have to do is keep it clean and give it time to heal ..
Give Ayman a hug from me .. Love to all xxxx emoticon emoticon emoticon

Oh my word - that is horrific - my forearms are tingling in sympathy (note to self stop whinging about niggles). Ayman is a very brave boy and I am not surprised you are in shock too - deep breath - you can't be there for them all the time, and he is going to be fine.

Take care and Get Well soon wishes to Ayman.

Oh my god that is HORRIBLE. I don't do well with medical things. Not at all. But medical photography aside, I think it is fine that you weren't there. He had his father and his father's entire extended family there to help take care of him. And most importantly, he is fine. It could have been worse, but it wasn't. He is home, he will heal, and all things considered, he is a very lucky young man!

I hope he loved the birthday cake!
