I looked in the mirror and I have a shape other than round!!!!

Last Monday I was so disappointed by my NutriSystem weight gain that I almost gave up. I had returned to NutriSystem because we had so much left over from last years efforts. When Darling Husband and I decided to try to get healthy for our New Year we both went on different tracks. He went low carb and I thought that I use up what had cost us so much. He lost 14 pounds and I gained two. He had energy and I was sluggish and hungry all the time. I wrestled everyday with intense cravings and gave in to them often.

This week, I switched. Last year a functional nutritionist had recommended a low carb version of the ketogenic diet for me, but I was too sick. So, without anything to lose, I've given it a go for the last few days. No cravings. No hunger. No cheating. Good sleep. Energy that led to being more active. I stopped logging in everyday to lesson my preoccupation.

I have no idea whether or not the positives are a result of the diet change or two weeks of solid effort. All I really know is that I have the beginnings of a waist again.
