My new goal!

Thursday, January 15, 2015

Me and my brother aznerd86 (he is on the site as well) made a goal the other day. This post is a step to ensure that it happens! There is a very popular place to hike here in the valley called Piestawa peak. Some of the trails are a little tough. People regularly get stuck up there and have to be rescued. Our goal is to make it to the top of the peak.
That is a pic of the mountain/foothill. We are taking the first step in attaining our goal this weekend, and are going to hike one of the beginners trails this Sunday. Im really stoked! Before I crossed the 400lb line I was always active outdoors. Prospecting for gold, hiking through the desert, or just walking through the woods. This is a big step though, its the first fitness related goal I made in quite some time. This goal was made before my goal to begin exercising. In a way its the reason I started exercising. Whats even more awesome is that it is a mutual goal between me and my brother.

Sounds good. My sparkpage has the picture of the peak I want to hike to when I am in better shape. I am actually really excited for the summer so that I can get out and do some of the more moderate hikes. Probably another year before I will be ready for the really long hikes.

Good luck. You're doing awesome. Glad to have active people to chat with.
