Daily ...Victories? 1/15

OK. Not feeling so victorious this morning.

Yes... I know that my rings are tight so I am retaining water - but the amount of water I drank yesterday should have been enough to balance my sodium levels.

Yes... I did an intense Zumba class last night from 7:30-8:30 once again - but I drank at least 64 oz. of water JUST in the 1.5 hours surrounding that class!

Yes, I had a hamburger and some sweet potato fries for dinner - but I logged them (generously) and I STILL did not even meet my daily food allowance for the day (although I logged just over 2000 calories) and even on my fitbit I was slightly under my range. That's my system of checks and balances.

For those of you who are curious, at 5'9" my BMR is 1580. That was calculated on many different sites and I always select a "sedentary" lifestyle for the calculation. I also calculated what my BMR would be at my goal weight and it is 1472. Also with a sedentary lifestyle. The calculators recommend that someone with a moderately active lifestyle at my goal weight needs to eat 2282 calories a day to maintain that weight, and 2449 calories a day at my CURRENT weight in order to MAINTAIN.

So, considering that I want to lose, and looking at my calorie intake over the past couple of weeks... By ALL calculations I should be losing!

I'm not sure my BODY has read these articles!!!!!!

So... My decision is this.
I know I am eating in a healthy way.
I am not willing to "starve" myself and suffer in order to lose weight.
I think my current food intake of anywhere between 1500-2000 calories a day, given my fairly intense and regular exercise levels, should eventually get me where I want to go.
I'm going to stick with my plan and hope that in the very long run I will see the results.

I remember that when you were on this site a couple years ago that you were doing a food plan with a nutritionist or something. That seemed to really work for you. Are you doing that food plan now too?

Good luck!! That calorie in - calorie out formula sure does seem to be more complicated than it sounds.
