Food Tracker Friend or Foe

Wednesday, January 14, 2015

I have been with WW and for the last 4+ years and have always been fighting with my food tracker. First, learning to get in the habit of tracking then not want to admit what I was eating and sometimes being too lazy. I gave the tracker the power to judge me or I avoided it all together. Neither felt good. The tracker was not the issue it was the power I gave it. The info is just words on paper with a little math. This week I declared a no judgment zone with regards to my tracker. I have to remember the user picks plot of this story, romance or nightmare.

Do you have a love hate relationship with your tracker? emoticon emoticon

I find the food tracker time consuming and I really get sick of it. You are right though I have given it power that is not correct for it to assume.

I like it a whole lot better than the old fashioned way of using a calorie counting book (and hoping I could find what I ate) and writing it all down on paper...especially since I fill some of it in ahead of time to make sure my numbers add up...then add/subtract/substitute...to make it work for me. emoticon

Totally! Especially because it's terribly boring or time consuming. I don't even want to know what's what bothers me most. BUT at the end, it's the only thing that tells me the truth of what I'm doing and so, where I'm going.
