My last race for 2014 was special! First & foremost, I was running escort for one of my Team Hope for the Warriors Tampa Teammates!
Secondly, this race really put me in the Christmas Spirit! I got to hang with Santa!
Santa has the same mannerisms as my Outspokin Multisport Team Coach!
Lots of Teammates were running with me!
And a whole mess of friends...
The PRE-race party had begun and we knew this would set the tone for the festive race! Still we were on a mission. Three of us would escort and relay support our teammate!
Our lead bike and my very good friend, Carl would lead the entire field on the course!
We finally got off the finish line.
I took point, running slightly ahead to insure a clear path, but not before I got our initial photo op!
It got real fast as we started up the double helix to scaling the Clearwater Memorial Bridge! We would go a mile and a half, turn around and take on the bridge a second time before coming down the Helix, heading towards the Finish Line!
I was overwhelmed by how positive and supportive we were for each other! This photo was taken by a waiting Teammate as we came to the finish!
I can honestly say this was the most rewarding run I've ever done! FYI, 36:12!
At the finish, we were overcome by tears and the Spirit of Christmas! Blessings to you all!
