The 90 Day Journey - Day 14

Monday, January 12, 2015

Day 14: 3 mile walk with cardio intervals, 30 min. DVD before work
45 minutes of cardio kickboxing- On Demand Fitness videos after
work.
*** A Proud Moment: Today, I began my goal of not eating any cookies, cakes, or candy for 21 days. Yes, that includes chocolate! Well, wouldn't you know it, I forgot about the pot luck today to celebrate another teacher's birthday. And I forgot that I signed up to bring a dessert. Well, at the pot luck, there was chocolate cake, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, cheesecake, and ice cream. I didn't eat one bite of any of it. I made myself a small plate of small cucumber sandwiches, salsa and chips, even though there was a crockpot of cheese dip for the chips, I stuck with the veggie salsa. I did eat two fried chicken wings and that was it. I was so proud that me, a sugar addict, didn't eat any sweet stuff. YaYYYYY Me!!

***Lessons I'm Learning Along this 90 Day Journey: I don't have to workout like it's my last day on earth. If I try to do that, I'm going to burn out like I usually do and stop altogether. I'm learning that it is okay to workout at various levels, not every workout has to be a 10 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest level. The most important thing is to do something, everyday, or at least 6 out of 7, I'll even say, 5 out of 7 days, consistently. I have learned that there is no such thing as a bad workout. The only bad workout is the one I didn't do. (I read that somewhere, now I actually believe it)
Just for laughs:

WOW WEE all that chocolate and you didn't eat one bite

that is exactly how I view exercise, everyday is not the same but I do it every day no matter what. So some are real light so are real tough and some are in the middle
