monday--trying to reset. again.

Monday, January 12, 2015

good morning! well, the new year started off with a bang. we spent new years eve night in the ER with my dad. he was okay, but we were there from 8 pm until 6 am. 36 hours later rob and I both came down with a terrible cold. we are still throwing it off. dad caught the same cold and has been doing all kinds of odd things in the nursing home. we had a meeting with the staff on Thursday and discussed it all. so far things seem to be on an upward trajectory, but his disease is changing and so we are in minor emergency mode for the present. the weather has been awful, so rob spent several days working at home last week, which was fine.
finally got back on the exercise routine by Wednesday--just doing leslie at the moment, but I figure as long as I am doing something, that's all that's needed right now.
feeling quite a bit better, but not sure its completely gone yet. whatever bug this is, it's certainly tenacious.
hoping for a better week this week. have a great Monday!

I'm glad you are feeling as though you are on the mend! I always say -- don't touch anything in a medical establishment, there's just too many germs.

    Good luck with your Dad.

Stay safe in the weather. I know there is a storm going south of us which may put it in your path. I'm glad you two can stay home in the worst of it. I know you miss your outdoor exercise though. Yesterday was in the 20s here and I got the dogs out for three walks. It was so nice!! We are even expecting 30s later this week but I find the weatherman often promises temps in the long range forecast that don't materialize so I'll wait to be excited about that.
