Finding Time for Crafts

Ordinarily I don't do showing off, but I have had a really productive afternoon making some earrings and thought I'd share them.
My first job was to replicate a pair I made for my daughter as she was allergic to the metal on the original pair.
The original is this:
Which I was actually quite pleased with. Here is the replacement:
I personally don't think it's as good, by my daughter loves them and that's what matters!
The thing I enjoyed doing most, though was working with an old set of fairy lights. I sat down and pulled the plastic fittings off them so I just had the bulbs
which I worked into various designs. Here are a few of them...
My favourites are the purple caged ones. The last pair is for my middle daughter - she felt others I had made with bulbs of that shape looked like swords so requested a pair of sword earrings - not easy with the limits of what is in my boxes, but I think it looks ok. Maybe a trip to the shops tomorrow to get some more findings will yield a better result... but for now I am happy with what I achieved.
As far as making this relevant to Spark rather than an outright boast, I have had a real feel-good day today. I don't often make time for my crafting, but being focused on myself at the moment means I just reached for the craft table when I had some downtime. The result is that I am far happier this evening than usual - I need to make time to do this more often! :)
