A-Ok Woo Hoo

Today was a Shirley Temple "Oh my goodness" kind of day - colder than 0 here.
My sweet husband climbed up in that big ol' SUV this morning and started it for me so it wouldn't be so cold.

Then I went to work. Changes going on at work. Ok, but just makes ya feel funny. I left early for my dr. appointment.

Regular check up - blood pressure good again today.
Weight - Up (heck, I knew that) I was cheating at Christmas, and have only recently re cut out the wheat again for the last week. Now to say bye bye to chocolate. There's only a couple little pieces hanging around, so that will be soon.

I told my doc that I have been working full time since August. It is going well, I just come home zonked. Understandable. I am focusing on sleeping better, working full time, and making sure I get 5 fruits/veggies daily to keep my potassium up, and walk 5000 steps 3-4 times weekly. I can only balance so much, the weight loss will come in time.

She agreed. She was thrilled to hear I am able to work, and dealing with it, with minimal back pain. She is glad to hear I am exercising, even if it is just walking, and that I am working on better sleep.

It was a quick visit, and she said see ya in 6 months. She was happy. I was happy.

RE: eyes - I saw the ophthalmologist in August and Sept. about the floaters. I had mentioned them to the neurologist because they occurred on the same side I have a cloudy mri (left side - where I hit my head with a concussion in 2006). The floaters are ok according to the Ophthalmologist, just the neurologist wants to check on things with the optic nerve. My doc thinks I should go ahead and get my eyes for eyeglasses checked, and see if that makes a difference. I tend to close my right eye when tired, when I am on the computer, or watching tv. That is why the neurologist is also checking that.

Then, after all the doctor stuff, we went to pick up our Subaru! Yay, it is home. After driving two different cars, finally getting to mine today was very strange. All the knobs and buttons, and shifts were in the wrong places, ha ha. Just got to get used to it again. Nice to have my heated seats and remote start! Yay for a warm car. Praise God.

Anyway, I am going to go relax for the night. Tomorrow is Friday, end of another work week. I have been full time for 5 full months, and in the proofreading department for one year.

I rented a car with heated seats one time- I had to pull off the Thruway because I was so uncomfortable and had no idea why!

Glad things are mellowing out for you. You've been through the mill. emoticon

I would like heated seats for certain. BUT We had automatic sliding doors and both sides had expensive problems and so now those have gone we just use manual .doors.

I am glad you are doing more walking. Moving is the best help for me. My leg has become numb again and I will have acupuncture next Tuesday. I hope it works again. Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon
