Day 7 - Didn't Let the Cold Slow Me Down

Today was the first really cold day in NYC, the kind where when you wake up in the morning and the heat hasn't kicked in yet, your bed is the only safe haven. But, I braved the frigid temps and trudged my way to work praying my face looked nice if it froze over...

Work was ok, wasn't really hungry and was really tired from only getting 6 hours of sleep for the last 3 days. Although the temperature didn't really rise too much by lunch I made sure that I took my power walk *cough* (Michael's and Lion Brand Store dash and stash...) *cough* What can I say? I have to keep my supplies stocked up...lol

Got home from work and tried not to think too hard about how cold my recent 10 minute walk home from the train was, changed into my workout gear and headed to the gym for a 40 min workout. I was able to do 30 min of treadmill at 3.2 which helped me surpass my goal of 10,000 steps a day to 12,534 steps. Then did a few leg exercises on the machines and braved the cold 4 block walk back home.

This time around on Spark People I realize that its all about the choices that we make, if I choose to not log in to track my food and fitness, don't bother reading the articles then its no wonder that I got to the weight that I did. I choose to be thinner, to be healthier because I have a lot to live for and I want to be around for a very long time!

So make good choices, ok!
