So cold

Wednesday, January 07, 2015

Well, I thought I would have our car back from the repair shop, but instead I turned in the rental (a cadillac) and got the loaner from the repair shop, a humongous Dodge Durango. Oh my. I think I really need a ladder to climb in. When I go to slide out, it feels as if the ground will never reach my feet. I am only 4'11" and this feels like I am driving a bus or an 18 wheeler.

It is also extremely very very very, very cold. Brrr has a few more syllables.
I need a little bit to make my 5000 steps today, so I am not staying on here. Going to walk around the house a little, then curl up with my cat and hubby.

Stay warm.

Yesterday I got word on all the stuff I had done with the MRI, etc. regarding my brain, vision, etc. and my blood pressure was really good, and there is no changes in the MRI, and the CAT scan after the auto accident was normal. Here's to normal brain function. He is just going to check my optic nerve with a quick scan of some sort next week, since I developed those floaters in August.

Tomorrow is my regular dr. visit. I know the scale is going to be on the upside since my last visit. But, I am pretty sure it has dropped since New Year's.

I am back to cutting out wheat and gluten. As much as possible.

Deborah, it is very cold here too.
I have lots of floaters have had them for a long time. They got worse after the cataracts were done but I do have to keep my eyes because DH is losing his vision.

Best wishes. I have been pretty successful with being gluten free for a year if you need recommendations. Hope you continue to feefebetter.

I know what you mean about big vehicles. I'm 5'1" and we have a Ford F150 truck. Fortunately it has running boards. I insisted on them when we bought it. emoticon

    In re: floaters

After I had a nasty whack to the head (I stood up under an open cabinet door, as I recall) I had a jagged black spot in my field of vision. I was concerned about retinal dislocation (I think that's what it's called) but turned out to be a harmless floater. Was still an emergency eye evaluation though.

Don't assume the worst, but don't put it off.

    Best wishes - Karen
