So today, for the first time since starting back on Spark, I am struggling with temptation... Not GIVING IN to it... Just struggling with it.
You see, for my older kids, this is the week of mid year exams. That means they have friends over to study. That means they want "study food"
Now, why study food cannot be carrots, hummus, whole wheat pasta salads, etc. is not the point... Anyone who's suffered through exam week knows that study food means "high sugar quick energy I don't want to fall asleep until I'm done" food. (Breakfast is nourishing though...)
Sitting on my counter right now is a half eaten tin of brownies.
Sitting in my refrigerator is half a chocolate cream pie and 2 chocolate eclairs.
Pantry? Chips and cookies.
And... BTW... I did not purchase any of this stuff. My kids are old enough to drive to the market and pick things up on their own... so these were all just "surprises."
The only thing slightly tempting are the brownies... but as I write this blog they are becoming less so. As the cooked tuna sushi roll I had for lunch begins to settle in my stomach, they are also becoming less so.
I remain the victor!!!!
