One week post op

I'm feeling more like myself again. I haven't needed any medicine for pain or nausea since saturday. I decided to take 4 weeks off work. I'm never hungry but I can get my fluids in without a problem. Its hard to get my protein in. Its too cold here to walk outside and we are supposed to get 7 inches of snow tonight. I will walk on my treadmill even though its boring because I don't like to walk in the cold and snow. I'm going to have to work back up to my previous walking. I went back to Dr today and he says I'm doing well. I think every day will keep getting better!

    You are doing great! I needed medicine for nausea for two weeks after surgery, otherwise I couldn't eat nor drink anything. And good for you for deciding to walk on the treadmill, again it took me a while before I was able to walk more than a few minutes! I am impressed by your recovery! Never being hungry is the wonderful aspect of this surgery I find... not only you can't eat much, but you feel full and for a long time! I LOVE it!
    Take good care of yourself Karen, you will get better and be back to feeling energetic in a few weeks' time!
