I Am A Statistic

Monday, January 05, 2015

I have a confession. I stepped on the scale this morning and realized I am one of the many who are a holiday season statistic. I gained weight. I'm sure some of it is bloat. I'm also positive that some of it is actual weight gain. I really let myself go these past two weeks of the holidays. I'm not beating myself up about it, but I did realized how easy it was to do. Even for someone who is usually so disciplined.

Today marks a starting over point for me. I'm back to my usual routine, and I couldn't be happier. I had a hard time sleeping last night, because I was so eager to pick up the pieces.

To ensure that my slip doesn't turn into a slide I'm doing Les Mills Combat. I love that program. The workouts are fun, and it's something I'll look forward to. That is key. The best workouts are the ones you're going to do. I'm also back to my usual eating routine. I eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day. I keep everything as clean as possible. I can already feel so much better and it's only been one day.

Now you know how to get back on track. It's very easy to get off schedule during the holidays. Keep up the good work and sign up for a race! :)

I'm glad to hear that I wasn't the only one that had trouble sleeping last night! I was also excited to get back into a routine again. I really need the consistency...all that free time makes me SO lazy!
