Sleep is on schedule and so much better. Apartment clean. Now, my gym membership has been recently renewed and I am thinking I need to really take advantage of it this month so I am working on a workout schedule (thinking of maybe doing my walk/runs on the elliptical and doing a lot more strength training than I have been, maybe adding some swimming in there). Also it's COLD outside so this was definitely the month to renew it. I'm going to try to make it at least 5 days a week to get my money's worth out of it, and I know I'll get used to it after a week or two as long as I don't push TOO hard each day.
Class starts next week, i'm just taking care of things around the house and studying until then.
My goal for January is 8.5 lb lost, 361 lb. I'm going to make it :) I know my goals look a little OCD, but this kind of planning really helps me stay on track~
Strength Training: 0/2
Days in Calorie Range: 1/6
Days in Carb Range: 1/6
Days Binge Free: 1
Days Fast/Junk Food Free: 1
Days Gluten Free: 1
Days GrubHub Free: 1
Days of at least 10 min exercise: 1
Days of at least 20 min meditation: 1
(Grubhub is an online food ordering site that I waste WAY TOO MUCH money on. I'm going to try to eat out a lot less often and just go to / call the restaurant if I really want it, which will be much less often than I do now. I just need to cook more.
For Binges, My goal is 1 "cheat meal" per week where I don't count calories, and staying in range and tracking the rest of the week! if it happens more than once per week or has an emotional component, it's a binge.
My definition of "Junk Food" is a little bit ambiguous, but it's basically chips, cookies, candy, soda, anything that is absolutely unnecessary and barely even nutritional. I have a real issue with french fries / things that are fried in vegetable oil, so that is a big part of it. Of course I won't count it if it falls in my "cheat meal" for the week.
My defintion of "Fast Food" is burgers, fries, etc. I won't count baked potatoes and chilis or grilled chicken salad at Wendy's (everybody needs food fast once in a while, but I do want to stay away from most of the fast food menu options and not go as often as humanly possible. ESPECIALLY Taco Bell. NO no no no no more.)
I'm also starting a new habit where I meditate and do 10 min of exercise every morning, just to set my intention and mood for the day, and to get my brain in a good place :) It's only 30 min, but it might make a huge difference in my day. I'm going to hang a bunch of motivational reminders around my yoga mat and maybe make a few mantras to read every morning to remind myself of the good things I'm striving to bring into my awareness.)
