Experiment number I don't know what

My weight is slowly going up again to my dismay. So instead of cutting calories, at least for today I have decided to have a calorie free day with a twist. I'm going to listen to my body. I've decided that I am going to give water more of a say. It is now 7.10am and I have already had 10 glasses of water, 1 almond slab and 1 Florentine, 1 egg and about to have a cup of Kellogg's all bran.
Theory
Body is saying that its hungry and is not full because I am missing something. Skin says moisture. So theory is that 8 glasses of water a day is way below enough and that I should be able to naturally curb appetite when I have had my full of water, I should also be able to increase my metabolism by heaps by drinking lots more water (specially in the morning), keeping the water to body temperature and fidgeting. I already don't feel so much of a need to or crave more fattening foods which is already a miracle. So here goes..... and hoping that if it ends up being all wrong that its not too bad on the scales tomorrow. (still wondering whether to give this one day, 1 week or 2 weeks, 2 weeks is normally how long it takes for my metabolism to increase after calories increased). *After thought (for later comparison) - I weighed in at 127.8 this morning
