The week ahead

It's Monday again, and officially I'm off work this week....but I have some work that needs doing, so I am going in today to get that done. Also, I wanted to get in my Monday training, and figured it would be more likely to happen if I went to work, since it would fit right into my day!

So I'll have most of the week off work, and with that time, I want to make sure I use it to full advantage, meaning, do some things I'd like to get done around the house, try some things I've been thinking about, but can't do during work hours, and just have some time to enjoy myself.

I'd like to get some pictures hung, that may be my "around the house" goal for this week. And get rid of some stuff we don't use or need. We also have some really nice photographs that a friend gave us, so I may see if I can find a good framing place and bring those in! The other item I'd like to check off the list is getting a new TV. This has been a dream in the back of my mind for years, and while our current TV is adequate, it's probably close to 20 years old (yep, a tube TV, I don't even think you can donate those anymore!) and our failing hearing and eyesight make getting a new TV a big desire for me right now.

The new thing I'd like to try is aerial yoga. I heard of a place in Reno that has these classes, but they are all during the middle of the day when I'm working. So since I have some time off, I'm going to make a point of getting to one of these classes. I may look into other classes and services they offer (the have facials and barre classes as well) and just see what the place is like. I think it's pretty far from home, but worth a look!

Larry and I both received gift certificates for massages, so for the "relax" part of the vacation, I may just book that! I just want to make sure I don't over book, so I may just wait and see on that one. I also want to get in some skiing, if we have more nice days, so I want to leave my schedule open for that as well.

As for my January goals, I did some knitting last night, and now have about an inch or so of the new scarf done! And wove in the loose ends of the scarf I finished the other night, so it's really done! And I got over 10K on my fitbit steps. emoticon
