Small Changes Challenge Day 4 – new food choice – Tofu or Tempeh?

SO - Day 4 is ‘Trying a New Food’. Was a bit worried about this as there is little in the UK I haven’t tried and generally enjoyed. I have travelled quite widely and one of the pleasures is always local foods. I spent quite a few months in Hong Kong and ate some really unusual foodstuffs there.
Thinking of Hong Kong reminded me about soy products and suchlike and I realised that although I am veering more and more towards a vegetarian diet – vegetables/beans/lentils etc - I’ve never actually tried Tofu or Tempeh. I can see there are recipes here on Spark and all over the Internet too which I can try, but if anyone has a favourite way to cook it I’d be happy to hear.

    Good for you!! I like tofu...to me it is best fried in a wok with the veggies. emoticon Not sure which kind it was or if there are different kinds. Probably could find out online for sure which is best for frying. emoticon
