My first blog entry

I never know if I overshare or undershare or shade things that should be well lit.

Drama. I think I hate it, because it seems to find me wherever I go. I have friends who HATE each other. I have people who want to talk when I need to work at work. I have 25 year old kids who think I'm their age. I have a body that won't keep up with me anymore. I seem to be stressed to the max and can't seem to find the source. I'm trying to pare down my belongings, teach my cat not to spray the house and meet my quotas at work. The reward? This morning it was a charlie horse that wouldn't let me get out of bed. puked after walking into work and seeing Anthony and wanted to punish my cat for spraying the house after he saw a new cat outside.

I have been eating my feelings. I need to find new behaviors. This blog is a start.

    I sure understand about being sick of the drama. There are ways to change how you perceive it and not internalize it. It works for me most of the time, but when it doesn't, forget about it! I have no tolerance for b.s. either. I have a quote on my page referring to jealousy that probably is the source of a lot of those co-workers problems.

    I have two cats myself that are on my profile. I don't have that spraying problem, but Chloe has a vomiting issue once in a while. Mostly from hairballs and food sensitivity. I would talk to the people on the teams that LOVE animals and there are some Vets in the teams too! Drop by and ask questions, you'll get a ton of ideas in response! I'm on the Cat Lovers, Rescued/Adopted Dog and Cat Lovers, and the Animal Lovers Teams. They are the nicest groups!

    Last thing I would recommend is mediation. I don't know if you've ever practiced it or care to look into it, but there are a couple of teams on here with very cool people that would be willing to help in that area, if you felt like it. One of them that I'm a member of is the "Mind-Body-Soul' team. I also have been meditating for most of my life. I can 'escape' and meditate... tune out the noise of gossiping chicks, etc, while at work (when I worked in horrid places) so that it sounds like 'white noise'. It sure comes in handy!

    So hang in there and blog to your hearts' content about anything you chose. If someone doesn't like what you have to say, they don't have to stop by your page and read it! I need to get back into blogging more at some point too.

    Well, team mate, understand your pain, and your hate of drama. We have drama queens at work too. I now just take a few minutes to decide if their drama is anything worth getting myself worked up over and It is not 95% of the time. Most people just want to hear themselves talk and think they are the center of the universe. Also, now, if an issue isn't anything I can change or do anything about, I feel that its not something I should stress over. Face it, I cant stop it from being cold or people from being stupid so I just move on and let others stay in their drama worlds. Now, your cat issue.....either you love the cat enough to deal with it (I had a cat who did that) or maybe have to find a new home. My cat would do it on the days I worked. I figured out she did not like to be alone and my shifts were 12+ hours long. On my days off she was good.. I had to eventually find a new home when I remarried and my husband had a dog. Now I am a dog person. But anyway before I digress too much.....hang in there! and just try to see the positive in things, that helps sometimes. Good Luck in the future and Go!     Hang in there and don't get overwhelmed. Pick one new thing and work hard to make that a new habit and they slowly add. You can do this!

    Welcome to SparkPeople. We are all here for the same reason, no matter what our personal story is. We are here to help each other to get to that healthy point we want to be in our lives. It is not going to be easy, but it is attainable. I have found that changing things up is the way to start weight loss. Make small goals and they will lead to big successes. You have to make you #1 and tell yourself that you are worth it. If you don't take care of yourself you can't take care of anyone else. You can do it! We are here to help!     I totally understand where you're coming from. I hope that you can hang in there and get back on track. The way I handles things is to not stress about the things that I can not change, and work on the things that I can. Good Luck!!!
