day 29 and 30 (oops....forgot to blog!)

Yep, yesterday was so busy I forgot to blog! And I was doing so well this month with this blogging. Moving on!

The 29th was a no snack night, and I managed to not snack after dinner, and the 30th was a snack night and I did snack after dinner, and before dinner, actually yesterday I hit the cookies pretty herd! These are cookies from our German neighbor, who makes these wonderful, homemade, not too sweet with lots of nuts cookies. I'm pretty sure there is lots of butter in there too. They are tasty! And after walking home last night in the brrrrrrrCOLD I guess I wanted cookies! But here's the odd thing, the past 3 days my scale has been spitting out the same number, and it's a bit lower than where I've been the past few weeks....so I'm waiting for that trend to turn around again! Actually, I don't want it to turn around, I'd be happy if it kept going a little lower, as that is my goal, I'm a few pounds higher than I'd like, but so far I'm liking this weeks trend.

So the scratchy throat of Sunday/Monday is now gone, and it's replaced itself with sneezing, watery eyes and more mucous than should reasonably come out of a person! I may become dehydrated from it! Came home early today (the boss told us we could leave at noon if we wanted, I stayed until 1, but figured I had done enough, and all the sneezing probably wasn't making me super productive! I took a couple of decongestants (looked for antihistamines, I guess we don't have any of those!) and I'm drinking herbal tea that has some ginger in it (among other things) hoping to relieve these symptoms some. At least this tea tastes good! It's Trader Joe's harvest blend herbal tea.

I'd really like to stop sneezing so much as Larry suggested skiing tomorrow, and since we just got some fresh snow, and now the sun is out, it would be a nice ski day!

Yesterday was a good step day, over 18K, up from only 6K the day before....but they aren't all going to be large numbers! With a desk job, it's hard to rack up the numbers without some consistent effort. Walking to work a couple of days a week does help.

I had early morning Pilates today, and my core was still sore from Monday's core-fest with Iain. Pilates was fun though, Jessica pulled out these jump boards, new to me! and it was fun "jumping" in a horizontal position on the reformer! I really enjoyed it!
