Today was a sad day....

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

Today we had to put down one of our cats, Molly who was 16 years old. She has been ill for the past few months and she hasn't eaten for the past two days but she would still meow when you petted her and purr up a storm. I knew it was for the best but it still hurts to do it. We decided to bring her home and bury her here. We our now down to only two dogs and one cat and at one time we had five dogs and two cats. I tell myself that I don't want any more animals as we lose them because it hurts too much when you lose them but knowing me when our next dog leaves us we will probably get another.

Tomorrow is another day...........

So sorry to hear about your Kitty. I have gone through the same thing with 2 dogs and 1 cat. Every time it happens I say never again but I do it again. The house is just too quiet without them. I look at it this way, they give us years of pleasure and the grief they cause is no comparison to the joy they bring. I currently have 1 dog, Snuggles and 2 cats Snowball and Snoopy. The cats are 9 and the dog is 8. My other pets have their own little graveyard in my back yard at the cottage. Memories are wonderful things when someone passes and I know you must have some wonderful ones after 16 years. Have a great day from a friend who has been in the same place. Prayers for you from Sassylovebug. emoticon

My condolences. My heart aches for you. I have 3 cats (now). My oldest is 16. I rescued him at 2. He's healthy, but slowing down. He is such a lover & purrs like a Mac truck.
