Day 27 some simple successes

Yesterday was a no-night-noshing day. I was assisted by the headache that came on early evening (right before dinner) that made me not very hungry....and tired, so I went to bed pretty early (before 8pm!). I even skipped my usual reading in bed before shutting out the lights....that's how tired I was.
But I did get in my steps for the day! I was trying to get to 15,000 so my weekly average would be 10,000 steps per day, and I hit it. I did get out for a walk on the trails behind the house, mostly they were pretty good and dry, but there were a few wet/muddy/soft spots to contend with, and even a little leftover snow in places! It was a nice walk, until the end when my neuroma started acting up! I haven't had any issues with that for quite a while, so it was a surprise to me that it decided to "wake up". I limped back home after that, so maybe that's what brought on the headache?
I was quite proud of myself that I made it through Trader Joe's and WinCo yesterday without putting any chocolate in my cart! Trader Joe's is especially dangerous since they have all my favorite chocolates, but I knew I had a shelf-full at home, so left it all there! I did load up on plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, chicken, beef and salmon, and a few other foodstuffs that we had run out of, or would soon.
For lunch I made a sweet potato recipe I've had on the fridge for at least a month! Pretty simple, just halve the potatoes, put a little olive oil on them, roast until soft, then sprinkle on a little cheese and broil. They were delicious! I used the havarti dill and a little parmesan blend, mmmmm. I also made up the rest of the kale I had from Christmas, I had bought enough to make 2 recipes, but we only used one for the dinner, so I brought home the rest, and made that to go with my sweet potatoes for lunch. It's a quick dish, and quite tasty! Since I left the white wine at my sister's, I used white wine vinegar instead. It was a little more pungent than the wine, but still tasted fine.
Larry suggested skiing again today, I'm going to see how this throat feels later, right now I just feel like snuggling under a blanket and sipping on hot tea all day!
