The sun and cloudless blue skies called...so out I rode!
First ride since Veterans Day, mid-November! Best Christmas present of all!
Temps in the low 40's...chilly but "do-able" with my bike tights and day-glo-orange sweatshirt. My Drymax cold weather socks could've done better to keep my feet warmer, but all in all I was pretty comfortable.
So wonderful to see people out on the trails and walkways soaking up the sunshine!
Earlier in the week, for the passing of the winter's solstice I enjoyed getting together with friends for conversation, games and caroling.
And yesterday I returned to help serve up Christmas Dinner for the needy and homebound. We had assembly lines going putting together styrofoam take out meals which scores of drivers volunteered to deliver throughout the county. When the assembly line took a break I lent a hand dealing with the mountains of pots and pans a lone brave soul was tackling out in the kitchen in the church basement where we worked. It feels so super to be part of such a big-hearted effort!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season!
Let's do it with heart & Spark!
